What is ISO 26000?
ISO 26000 is an international standard that provides guidelines for the social responsibility of organizations (CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility). This standard is not certifiable, which means that organizations cannot obtain official ISO certification for it, but it gives them a framework and recommendations on how they can improve their social and environmental impact. ISO 26000 focuses on seven key areas of social responsibility, which are: Organizational governance - refers to the structures and policies that an organization uses to ensure responsible management of its business. Human rights - includes respect for human rights, such as the prohibition of discrimination, the provision of safe working conditions, the protection of the rights of employees, and the provision of equal opportunities for all.
